This blog post is embarrassingly late. With a busy summer and then breaking my ankle in the fall, I am just NOW feeling like I’m able to catch up!! I’ve posted some images from this shoot here and there, but I’m excited to finally compile a visual story and show this super fun collaboration with other boss ladies!
One of my friends, Emma, began her journey in floral design after her own wedding in the fall of 2017. She and my husband were in grad school for their Masters in Architecture a few years back, so Emma came into this whole new floral world with an amazing eye for design. She hit the ground running, learning from others in the industry and practicing in her spare time, all while balancing a full-time job and a brand new husband. She is a beautiful person inside and out and is now lead designer and head of Steelcut Maryland! If you aren’t following her already… you NEED to!
Emma and I worked together to bring to life a styled shoot focused on the details - from the gorgeous florals by Emma to elegant hand-lettering by Cedar & Script to a delicious cake and cupcakes by La Dolce Vita. The backdrop of Habitat at Seya was the perfect industrial counterpoint to the feminine details. Our models for the day were a blast and made my job easy. Can’t wait to dream up another shoot!
